The water risk assessment undertaken by WPPM is a comprehensive study of internal water systems and equipment that are susceptible in spreading the airborne bacteria, Legionella. These bacteria can result in Legionnaires' Disease, a form of pneumonia, which is potentially fatal if left untreated.
In co-operation with the Health and Safety Commission, WPPM is committed to undertaking any means necessary to prevent or contain a Legionellosis outbreak.
Our assessment accomplishes four objectives:
- To identify and assess the risk of Legionellosis from the various water systems contained within the building.
- To create a detailed preventative action plan for any areas that appears to be at risk for bacteria exposure.
- To detail the basic requirements for keeping accurate records of all actions.
- Provides a system schematic diagram.
A written report is then produced which details current system conditions and any preventative or treatment recommendations.
